Fall is upon us, and as for me, that usually means getting ready for two events…the Khaki Ball and U.S. Navy Birthday Ball.
For those of you who don’t know, my husband’s in the U.S. Navy. Every year, the Navy promotes First Class Sailors to Chief Petty Officers. Once selected, they go through this grueling selection process for 6 weeks or better known as “select season.” If they make it through, we all come together and celebrate at the Khaki Ball. The word “Khaki” signifies the uniform all Chief’s wear.
While my husband is already a Chief Petty Officer, we always go to the ball to celebrate with the new selectees. Here’s a pic from this weekend!
